Parsi New Year
Theirs was a mixed community with locals as sugar in milk, so goes the folklore. Parsis, who are already part and parcel of the State, are all aimed at welcoming the new year. And from the decoration of their homes to celebrate on special plates, there is little Pateti store, which is celebrated today.
Parsis in the city in the way we are celebrating the day, and got some interesting answers. The group's executive director Bed, Bed Rustom, says: "We have a standard form of the conclusion of the day. Let the first temple and from there we drive to the office. On the way home, we dropped in to greet relatives. The rest of the day, we are usually busy entertaining guests at home. "
Bed says some of these visitors have been coming home for years, since childhood. "Among other dishes, pulao is a part of the standard rate for the day," he says.
This year, as every year, Amdavadi Parsis will feast patra or Macchi (fish wrapped in banana leaves), Sali boti (meat with fries), Rava and Falooda. With these delicious dishes research room at the table today, there is no reward healthy gourmet shop.
Piruz Khambatta, managing director of Rasna India Pvt Ltd, says Pateti celebrations have already begun for his family. "We went to the temple on Wednesday night and then went to a restaurant for dinner. On Thursday, however, we will stay at home and a lot of guests expected."
Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat Governor Dr. Kamla Beniwal, Ahmedabad Kanaji Thakore mayor and other prominent citizens have greeted the Parsi community. "We have great pleasure in extending a cordial greeting to all citizens with joyous occasion of Parsi new year," they said.
