'Glee': Jane Lynch tries on Ann Coulter, David Bowie for size
Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is predictable in general. Apart from a weakness for her sister and the rare act of kindness, it is evil "Glee" permanent residence - did his best, Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and the club to defeat with joy at every turn.
Tuesday (May 3) episode, the Fleetwood Mac-inspired "Rumours", not Sue have tons of screen time, but it has the impression, first as a spot on "Ziggy Stardust" from the time of David Bowie in full sparkly unitard and Make-up.
But once we got comfortable with Sue as Starman, turning it into a straight talking head Ann Coulter - complete with blond hair and bottle shoulder.
Coulter Why?
In February, Lynch said in New York Post that Coulter would never be invited as a guest star "Glee," because they are too polarized.
"Oh, no, this would never happen," said Lynch. "It's not funny ... but maybe Sue would be friends with her."
So maybe it was a way to invoke the specter Coulter without drawing too much fire.
But it was not the first time the show in a reference Coulter worked. In Season 1 of "The Power of Madonna" Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) - Talks about the lack of female role models - calmly, "Well, it makes sense and look at their [Girls Glee Club] models you Britney Spears with her.. shaved head and Lindsay Lohan looks like something from "Lord of the Rings" ... Ann Coulter. "
Come to think of it, is perhaps show runner Ryan Murphy (with the help of Lynch) is doing its best to the fire to win Coulter, after all.
